14-16 Increased Flexibility Programme

Brooklands College offers courses for 14-16 year olds under the Increased Flexibility Programme.

Essentially the programme brings school aged pupils into a post 16 learning environment to enhance their vocational opportunities

The aim of these courses is to

• Complement and enhance the existing curriculum in schools by providing courses which schools do not provide.
• Have a practical/vocational emphasis, and are linked to local employment and Further Education opportunities.
• Lead to a recognised qualification.
• Encourage students who would not otherwise have done so to consider further education in order to improve their employment prospects.

Your school must choose to offer these programmes as part of their GCSE choices, and not all schools choose to do this.

These courses are a fantastic opportunity to learn something new that you cannot learn at School
