Prince’s Trust

Our Prince’s Trust qualifications help uncover your hidden talents, improve your confidence and gain new skills. Along the way you will get to mix with new people and make friends.  It’s FREE of charge and you won’t lose your benefits or affect your Jobseeker’s Allowance if you sign up to take part.

If you are 16 – 25, seeking direction and ideas for your future the Prince’s Trust courses are an ideal choice to get you going!
It’s ideal for those who want to improve their confidence and for those whose qualifications are holding them back.

As part of the Prince’s Trust qualifications the Achieve Course offers a 6 week introductory programme supporting young people to positively engage with personal growth through a dynamic course.

The flexibility of ACHIEVE nurtures individuality and promotes stepping up onto the nationally recognised 12 week Prince’s Trust TEAM programme. 

The overall 18 week course has the opportunity to see individuals participate in a range of activities which includes:
ACHIEVE (6 week course)
• Introduction to creating career success
• Introduction to First Aid
• Introduction to safe social networking
• A range of sporting activities
• Managing an enterprise project
• Money management
• Development of literacy, language and numeracy skills
• Preparation for your future

TEAM (12 week course)
• Planning for personal development
• Team working and leadership skills
• Challenging residential
• Fundraising
• Working in the local community
• Two week work experience
• Employability Skills

What qualifications do I need?
There are no entry requirements for this course.

When does the next Team start?
The Princes Trust courses run twice a year.  Start dates are staggered to allow efficient entry onto a programme for the young person.
Combined course – Weybridge and Ashford
19th September 2016 x 18 weeks
20th February 2017 x 18 weeks

Team Programme (12 weeks) - Weybridge and Ashford
7th November 2016 x 12 weeks
24th April 2016 x 12 weeks

How Do I Apply?
To apply to join either the Prince’s Trust STEP UP or TEAM programme please contact one of the Team Leaders below who will arrange an interview. Entry to the Programme is based on the interview with the Team Leader and an assessment of your suitability for the Programme which includes a Taster Day.
