• Traineeships


A Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English, Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work placement.

The course is completely FREE if you’re 16-18 years old or if you’re aged 19-25 and in receipt of JSA or ESA.

What will I do on a Traineeship?
•  4 weeks introduction to employment in college
•  Employment skills
•  CV writing
•  English/Maths assessments
•  Interview with traineeship employer

•  12 weeks work placement
•  4 days per week in placement
•  1 day per week in college
•  Complete qualification including Maths and English

•  Complete an exit interview with Traineeship Employer and obtain a reference.

The traineeship programmes can take place at an employer’s premises or in college and at the employer’s premises

Traineeships can lead on to apprentices or further training or employment.
