Financial Support for Students

e-mail: studentservices@brooklands.ac.uk Education Maintenance Allowance Students aged 16 planning to enter further education from September 2004 may apply for an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) of up to £30 a week to help cover course-related costs such as books and travel. If your household income is below £30,000 you may be eligible. Learner Support Fund Means-tested grants towards course-related costs for all students at Brooklands College are available from the Learner Support Fund. Half-Fare Travel Passes 16-18 year old students who live in the administrative area of Surrey can apply for a Surrey County Council Student Train or Bus Fare Card which enables them to travel at half-price.
