Applications for the 2022/2023 academic year 

Brooklands College has the ability to offer the following alternative provision for learners in Year 10 and Year 11:

These courses will run over a period of two years and students can work towards completion of a vocational qualification at the end of Year 11. The courses offered for day release are; Catering, Child Studies, Construction, Engineering (Motor Vehicle) and Hair & Beauty.
2-3Vocational programmesThis is an infill college provision where learners study a vocational programme including English and maths and tutorials. NB; Parents/ Guardians and Schools are responsible for providing or arranging additional study for the remaining days/times when learners are not timetabled for college, as per the pre 16 educational guidelines. 5Progression PlusThis is for school referrals only and is a full-time, 5 day provision.

Year 10

Level 1 Certificate in Caring for Children

Level 1 City & Guilds Certificate/Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance
Level 1 City & Guilds Certificate in Engineering

Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy 
Level 1 UAL Diploma in Art, Design & Media – Art and Design Pathway

Please note: Uniform for ALL hair and beauty courses is mandatory as are safety boots for all construction and engineering courses.

You can apply online to the courses, by clicking the Apply now tab on the course page. If you are currently on the school roll, please ensure you have notified your school.

Parents/Guardians of home schooled students should contact Suzy Vinall directly for details of any of our courses which may be suitable for 14-16 year olds.

If the student has an EHCP, please email EHCP@brooklands.ac.uk when you submit your application.
