Schools Programme

Applications will open for the 2022/2023 academic year on 11th November 2021 and will close on 24th May 2022. 

14-16 School Programme

Brooklands College offers the following Day Release courses for students entering Year 10 in September. These courses will run over a period of two years and students can work towards completion of a vocational qualification at the end of Year 11. The courses offered for day release are; Catering, Child Studies, Construction, Engineering (Motor Vehicle) and Hair & Beauty.

In addition we offer a Transition Programme which is appropriate for students who are undecided on their chosen career and wish to experience a number of vocational areas before progression onto a full-time programme at the college post 16. 

Application process
You can apply online to the courses and if you are currently on the school roll, please ensure you have notified your school.

Further information on each course is below, please click on the course and then the Apply Now tab to start the application process. Students who are looking to start with us in Year 10 can apply to either of the two courses below; Hair & Beauty 1-year course or the Transition course for 1-year and then progress onto any of the Level 1 courses the following year.

Entry Level 3 Certificate in Introduction to the Hair & Beauty Sector – 1 year (Full)
Learning for Employment & Progression – Level 1 Employability & Transition – 1 year 

Year 11
Level 1 C&G Diploma in Introduction to Professional Cookery
Level 1 Certificate in Caring for Children
Level 1 Award in Carpentry and Bricklaying (Full)
Level 1 City & Guilds Certificate/Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance
Level 1 City & Guilds Certificate in Engineering
Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy (Full)
Level 1 UAL Diploma in Art, Design & Media – A&D Pathway
Level 1 BTEC Preparation for Sport and Uniformed Public Services
