One Welfare and Wellbeing Officer is allocated to each curriculum area. Welfare and Wellbeing Officers are here to help students to reach their full potential by offering support and guidance throughout their time at college.
The Welfare and Wellbeing Officers through the weekly Learner professional development sessions, and enriching activities outside of the student’s curriculum aim to enable students to develop the resilience and skills needed to succeed.
They also offer pastoral support, helping students to remove barriers to learning and move forward in their studies. This could be anything from safeguarding and mental health support, to housing issues, support with funding, work experience, and liaising with social workers and family workers and much more.
