This is the course for you if you are interested in how ICT is used in business and industry and you wish to develop both practical and theoretical skills.
The units are internally assessed through a portfolio of evidence and combines practical work on computers and theory lessons.
There are various textbooks available for this course although there are extensive guidance notes and online resources for students to use. There may be visits and events which are an essential part of the course. Costs will be advised by your tutor.
5 GCSE passes including 1 GCSE at grade 4 or above.
This can be treated as the equivalent of 4 GCSEs and can be used with your other qualifications to progress onto the level 3 BTEC National Subsidiary / Extended Diploma in IT, or other subjects, providing you meet any specific entry requirements. Alternatively, you could go straight into employment or an IT Apprenticeship.
