There are many reasons how taking on an apprentice could help your business grow. You could fill a skill gap, develop the skills of your team and reduce staff turnover. Apprentices must be over 16 however there is no upper age limit now, therefore apprenticeships are also a positive way to upskill your current employees.
Hurry! don’t miss out:
Incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice. Employers who hire a new apprentice between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021 can receive a payment of £3,000 for all new apprentices plus £1,000 for apprentices aged 16-18yrs.
How can you use the payment? It can be spent on anything to support your organisation’s costs: Uniforms, travel, or salary. You do not have to pay this back.
You can apply for the new employer incentive payment for new apprentices who start the apprenticeship by January 2022.
This is in addition to the existing £1,000 payment the government already provides. Learn More
