Support Our NHS Fundraiser

Since 19th January, our students and staff have been walking every day with a number of intentions including: feeling united as a college whilst remote working; staying physically fit & mentally healthy during lockdown; and raising money for the NHS.

“In a recent survey we did about how COVID-19 has impacted the students, a lot of them reported that one of the strategies they used to manage lockdown was going for a walk on a daily basis.” Charlotte Board, Progression Mentor for Service Industries.

Inspired by Sir Captain Thomas Moore and his remarkable walking during lockdown, Students and staff are walking 101 miles each across 101 days for The 101 Challenge. The fundraising project has gained great momentum with over 75 college members taking part.

“During lockdown I was trying to improve my fitness levels, this gave me the motivation to do so and it is helping to raise money for the NHS which is great.” Alexandra Bovington, Catering & Hospitality student.

We are now on the home stretch with our end date of 30th April in sight. We would like to ask every member of the public, fellow students and colleagues, friends, parents and all of the community to kindly support us.

We have exceeded our initial target of raising £500 for NHS Charities Together and have now set ourselves a new target £1,001.
