DESCRIPTION:SEND and Transition Tours 26/27\n\n\n\nThese tours are specifically for Entry level /Level 1 students suitable for this curriculum area who are vulnerable and may have EHCPs or specific learning needs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSEND and Transition and Brooklands Technical College\n\n\n\nIf you have a learning difficulty\, disability or educational need\, the SEND team at Brooklands Technical College offers a range of challenging educational programmes.  \n\n\n\nAll our courses have been designed to meet the needs and abilities of the learner. Programmes include a range of nationally recognised qualifications and offer pathways to further study\, employment or independent living. \n\n\n\nMany of our courses give students the opportunity to experience vocational areas which may include Art and Design\, Media\, Hair & Beauty\, Care\, Catering\, Engineering and Business. \n\n\n\nTransition into College Life\n\n\n\nBrooklands Technical College works closely with schools and parents to transition students into college who may find the move daunting. Our experienced SEND & Transition team will be on hand to answer any questions about our provision and intervention support\, and our current students will also be showcasing their work and showing guests around the vocational areas. \n\n\n\nComing soon for 2027!\n\n\n\nAs part of the wider Brooklands Technical College redevelopment\, construction starts at the beginning of 2026 for a new Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) building.  \n\n\n\nThis facility will provide a specialist post-16 SEND provision and with an additional investment by Surrey County Council\, will accommodate up to 260 student places. Building work is planned to be completed during 2027. \n\n\n\nAttend the SEND Open Event to find out more about these exciting plans! \n\n\n\nIf you are unable to attend our SEND Open Event\, please book on to one of our tours. Please note\, there are limited spaces available to provide a smaller group experience.
