Ofsted Report

Brooklands Technical College have maintained an Ofsted GOOD rating for several years.

Ofsted GOOD

During the four-day enhanced inspection in December, inspectors saw a wide range of the College’s provision across both sites as well as meeting with students, staff, employers and key partners of the Surrey based College.

Eleven members of Ofsted’s inspection team assessed eight categories, including the quality of education, leadership and management, and apprenticeships. All eight were rated as ‘Good’, and Ofsted remarked approvingly on how safe learners feel in college, online and at work as
well as how ambitious leaders and teachers are for their learners and apprentices, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Ofsted report goes on to highlight many other areas of strength including how “learners benefit from a calm and studious environment in which they learn well”. It reports that “learners and apprentices work hard at their studies and demonstrate consistently the behaviours expected for study and employment”.

The College is a leading provider of professional and technical education in the region, including recently introduced T Levels, and prides itself on the holistic experience it provides to over 2200 students a year, including 800 adults and 240 apprentices.
