| Entry Level or Level 1 (Foundation Pathways) | Pre-16: Study at Level 1 to transition smoothly onto a Level 2 course. SEND: Access multiple pathways to prepare for independent living, employability and further study. ESOL: Progress through Entry Levels to Level 1, then into the wider college, adult education or employment. |
| Level 2 Course | Progressing from an award or certificate to a Level 2 diploma or T Level Foundation Year. Moving up to a Level 3 qualification (Diploma, T Level or Apprenticeship) to deepen your specialist knowledge. |
| Completing Level 3 | Applying for university with support from our Careers team to complete your UCAS application and personal statement. Progressing internally to our Higher Education programmes, including including Foundation Degrees and Access to HE courses or one of our part-time adult courses to further increase your knowledge and skills. |

Thinking about university? We have a dedicated Careers team to guide you through the entire application process. From drafting a compelling personal statement to choosing the right institutions. Every year, BTC students from across our departments secure places at universities across the UK.
If you want to dive straight into the workplace but keep training, our dedicated Apprenticeships team will help you find, apply for and secure a vacancy. We bridge the gap between you and local employers eager for fresh talent.

We host regular on-campus fairs bringing together local employers, universities and training providers so you can network and explore your options first-hand.
Your personal tutor will meet with you regularly to review your academic progress and help you map out your next steps, ensuring you stay on track to meet your entry requirements.
