In collaboration with London South Bank University (LSBU)
Originally the Borough Polytechnic Institute, London South Bank University (LSBU) has been providing vocationally-relevant, accredited, and professionally recognised education in south London since 1892. LSBU’s original aim – ‘to promote the industrial skill, general knowledge, health and well-being of young men and women’ – remains central to its mission today. LSBU’s practical, vocational, and industry-specific approach ensures that students will leave equipped with the skills to meet the challenges of today’s workplace, and that students are empowered to become the best versions of themselves.
One of LSBU’s core aims is to put wellbeing at the heart of everything it does, from helping local businesses to supporting the personal growth of its students to improving the lives of those in the local community through its focus on addressing real world challenges. LSBU does this by offering industry-relevant degrees that equip students with lifelong skills.
LSBU Global is an expansive, ambitious and challenging initiative based on the solid ground of proven success. It takes the LSBU model and refines it for the benefit of the LSBU Group, the partners it operates with, and the places where it engages. LSBU Global’s aim is to bring London closer to students wherever they are, to positively impact lives through the provision of LSBU courses locally, and to create an interactive experience for all of its students.
Brooklands Technical College collaborates with LSBU to provide the highest quality of education for our students. LSBU are the awarding body of our HE Motorsport courses, including the Level 4/5 Foundation Degree in Motorsport Engineering, which you can learn more about here.
Fees & Funding
Just like traditional universities, eligible students can fully cover their tuition fees via Student Finance England.
For more information about how HE student finance works, please visit Student Finance England.
Because we are a local Further Education college, our higher education fees are often significantly lower than the standard annual university rate. This keeps your student debt to an absolute minimum.
You can apply for standard government loans to help cover your day-to-day living, food and travel costs while studying.
If you are studying an Access to HE Diploma, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. If you subsequently graduate from a full university degree afterwards, Student Finance England will completely wipe out your initial Access course loan debt!
