We are looking for new Governors to join our Corporation Board, to help steer the college into the next chapter as the college of choice for technical and professional education in North Surrey, providing exceptional education that meets the current and future skills needs of our region and our nation.

With an Ofsted rating of “Good”,  a major capital redevelopment of our Weybridge Campus and strong finances, the future is looking bright for our students.

Governors sit at the top of the decision-making tree within a college. They are responsible for setting college strategy, the stewardship of large amounts of public funding, safeguarding college assets and – crucially –  ensuring that the quality of the experience that we provide to our students is of the highest standard, and equips them with the qualifications that they need for their next stage in life.

We would welcome applications from people from all walks of life, and are committed to increasing the diversity of our Board.  As a minimum, you must have a genuine interest in the role of further education in enhancing the life chances of young people and adults.
On top of this, we are particularly seeking new governors with the following backgrounds and skills:

  • Professional education: gained either in a teaching or support role in secondary, Further or Higher Education
  • Finance: significant experience and/or an accountancy or audit qualification
  • Business: Links to the Surrey economic and business community would be especially useful.
