BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Business

Course overview
The level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Business is equivalent in size to 1 ½ A levels and has been designed to provide the foundational knowledge and skills required to enter higher education or to help those who would like to pursue a career in the Business sector. Learners can expect to learn 4 mandatory units, which will cover: exploring a business environment, developing a marketing campaign, personal and business finance and managing an event.
Your study programme will consist of:
- Your chosen technical qualification
- GCSE English and maths if you are yet to achieve a grade 4 or above
- Personal Development sessions which focus on developing work-ready skills (such as CV writing), independent life skills (such as money management) and personal, social and professional growth.
- Work experience or industry placement (course dependent)

Career Pathways
The Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Business has been designed to open doors to allow students to progress into higher education or ultimately into employment in the business sector. The course will cover relevant occupational areas such as human resources, accounting, marketing and law, therefore students can progress onto courses in these subjects. Students can also internally progress onto the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business.
