Level 2 Foundation T Level in Health and Social Care
The T Level Foundation Year in Health course is designed for those that are looking to progress on to a T Level programme but do not yet meet the entry requirements.
Course overview
This course provides a foundational overview of the health and social care sector, focusing on human lifespan development, person-centered care and effective communication. Throughout the program, you will explore the four key aspects of human growth and learn how major life events impact development and how to manage those transitions.
Your study programme will consist of:
- Your chosen technical qualification
- GCSE English and maths if you are yet to achieve a grade 4 or above
- Personal Development sessions which focus on developing work-ready skills (such as CV writing), independent life skills (such as money management) and personal, social and professional growth.
- Work experience or industry placement (course dependent)

The minimum entry requirements for this course includes GCSE English and maths (grade 3-4) or Level 2 Functional Skills. Those who do not achieve a grade 4 in English or maths will be required to study this alongside their course.

What you'll need
Guidance on any equipment required for this course will be provided at enrolment. At the beginning of your course, you will be allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred. You can purchase more printing credits on our online store, which can be found here.
Career Pathways
Upon successful completion of the foundation level, you will progress onto the Level 3 T Level in Health & Social Care where you will take part in a 45 day work placement and employer set project.
