Course overview

Our CreaTech offering allows learners a unique opportunity to develop skills using the latest digital technology, ultimately preparing them for future careers in an innovative and advancing sector. Learners will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of skills before specialising in either Art & Design or Media at Level 3.

Your study programme will consist of: 

  • Your chosen technical qualification
  • GCSE English and maths if you are yet to achieve a grade 4 or above
  • Personal Development sessions which focus on developing work-ready skills (such as CV writing), independent life skills (such as money management) and personal, social and professional growth. 
  • Work experience or industry placement (course dependent)

This course is ideal for students who like to learn in a practical way and are interested in the digital and creative industries. To enrol onto this course, you must have at least GCSE maths or English at grade 0-3, or a Level 1 in Functional Skills. Those who do not achieve a grade 4 in GCSE maths and English will be required to study this alongside their course.

  • Study filmmaking, animation, Virtual Reality and 3D sculptural processes

  • Focus on developing and honing your artistic skills and style
  • Learn about and develop skills in multiple creative sectors

Your work will be coursework based, which will be assessed throughout the year.

 


What you'll need

Throughout this course, there are several visits to London galleries and local workshops that support the vocational context of this qualification. You will be allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred. You can purchase more printing credits on our online store, which can be found here.


Career Pathways

Students can internally progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design, or they can use their portfolio to apply for an apprenticeship. Students can also progress into entry-level roles in the creative industries or head into further education.
