Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing
This is a one year course that will include practical and theory work. All aspects of hairdressing including expanding commercial skills, advanced cutting, colouring and perming techniques, long hair work, extensions and competition work.
Course overview
This course includes practical and theory work. It covers all aspects of hairdressing including expanding commercial skills, advanced cutting, colouring and perming techniques, long hair work, extensions and competition work. Students will be expected to wear a uniform and present themselves in a professional manner as practical work will be assessed in the commercial salon.
The minimum entry requirements for this course include 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths. Students can also progress onto this course after successfully achieving a level 2 vocational qualification in hairdressing.
Fees for this course only apply to adults who do not qualify for government funding. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to provide your most recent payslip and/or Universal Credit statement (in full) to assess whether you are eligible for the course to be fully funded or at a reduced fee. Career Pathways
Upon successful completion of this diploma, you will be able to progress onto other Level 3 or level 4 qualifications, or you can progress into full time employment as a hairdresser at a salon, hotel or as a freelance stylist.
