Course overview

Throughout this course, you will explore the wide range of career pathways within the travel and tourism industry. You’ll develop valuable customer service, communication and teamwork skills while gaining an understanding of sustainable tourism and current industry trends. You will also build confidence for future employment through CV development and interview practice.

To qualify for this course, you will need a minimum of: 2 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (including English and maths) and a Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

  • Gain a greater insight into aviation communications and understand the difference between ICAO and IATA codes 
  • Explore the health and safety regulations that shape the aviation industry and examine real-life cases of non-compliance and the consequences that followed

What you'll need

Students are required to purchase and wear a set uniform, this includes a scarf and badge which can be purchased for £15. Students are responsible for providing their own shirts and skirts or trousers. Upon enrolment, you will be advised on how and where to purchase any uniform you may need.

Students are also allocated a certain amount of free printing,  after which a small fee will be incurred. You can purchase more printing credits on our online store, which can be found here.

There are also a variety of trips that are scheduled throughout the year, more information on the costs of these trips can be discussed at enrolment.


Career Pathways

Upon successful completion of this course, students can head into higher education and progress to degrees in Travel and Tourism, air transport and operations or hospitality management. Learners can also apply to a range of entry level roles such as: cabin crew member, airline customer service or tour operator.
