What to expect in 2026/2027

As we enter the 2026/2027 academic year, we look at what’s still to come in the redevelopment of Brooklands Technical College, Weybridge Campus. With two thirds of the project now completed, students across the whole campus are benefitting from the investment into new facilities and the latest technologies. And there is still more to come!

Creating Community Spaces

This photo really gives a really good perspective of the new main entrance of the college (left, center), the community hub (right, front) and the sports centre (rear, right).

These new facilities will be available for the community to use, at certain times.

Brooks Sports Centre – 4-court sports hall, gym, fitness suite and physio bay.

Brooks Community Hub – Multi-use for private events, business meetings, independent working and community group activities.
Brooks Kitchen/cafe – A public cafe where staff and visitors can come together in a positive space.

Estimated completion date: Summer 2027

The new SEND facility takes shape

The building work on the new ‘Vickers’ building started in June, and over the summer Beard Construction has made huge progress on the two-storey building. When complete, this facility will enable us to expand our specialist post-16 SEND and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) provision, across the whole of Surrey.

Surrey County Council has offered additional funding which will enable us to accommodate up to 260 students aged 16-24, making us one of the largest facilities in the area.

We should be able to welcome students to the new facility in September 2027.

Brooks Restaurant is taking bookings
