The story so far…
Captured by drone from July 2024, this video shows the changes across the Weybridge Campus over the previous two years. Three buildings have been completely refurbished and we are currently constructing a new SEND building and some exciting public spaces; a sports hall, gym, fitness suite, a community space for group meetings, office working and social gatherings as well as a welcoming, community-driven café.
Work starts on new SEND facility
Beard Construction has been appointed and we gathered for the ‘first dig’ of the new Vickers facility this week. When complete, this building will enable us to expand our specialist post-16 SEND and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) provision, across the whole of Surrey.
Surrey County Council has offered additional funding which will enable us to accommodate up to 260 students aged 16-24, making us one of the largest facilities in the area.

A big BTC welcome to our neighbours!
As part of our ongoing commitment to building meaningful partnerships, we held a welcome evening for the Brooklands Grove residents.
Guests enjoyed touring the spaces for hire, watched a barbering course in Brooks Hair & Beauty Salon and ended the evening with drinks and canapés in Brooks Restaurant, served by our hospitality students. We also launched Brooks Membership, a scheme that will offer incentives to support the training of our students in these professional environments.
Thank you to representatives from the Weybridge Society who also attended.
The salon and restaurant will close over summer, re-opening in September.

Weybridge Community Fair
What a fantastic day we had at the Fair last weekend. This event really brings the community together and the College was delighted to be asked to video proceedings. Charlotte, Daniel and Emily joined lecturer Anthony, and used skills they have learnt from their Level 3 Media course to interview stall holders and attendees. Scoop of the day was an exclusive interview with Councillor Judy Sarsby, Mayor of Elmbridge. A great effort by the team in very hot weather!
It’s now two years since we started the redevelopment of Brooklands Technical College, and as we look forward to welcoming a new cohort of students in September, we know their learning experience will be enhanced with all the new facilities….and there’s even more to come during 2027!
