This qualification provides you with an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to care for young children. The qualification has a variety of units that cover children’s growth, learning and play as well as self-development.
Whether you want a career working with children or a stepping stone to further qualifications our courses certainly prepare you well. There are many different aspects to the profession and our courses will teach you about the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of different aged children and how to apply your knowledge in practice.
We also work with employers, helping to ensure their staff have the latest qualifications and helping us to ensure our courses are developed so that they are relevant in today’s settings.
You will also take Functional Skills in:

Your tutor will advise you on any additional costs at the start of the course. Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.
GCSEs grade 3 – 1 (or entry Level 3 literacy and numeracy).
For Pre 16's no entry requirements but must have a keen interest int eh industry and willingness to learn.
