About this course
The Essential Digital Skills Qualifications have been designed to meet the content, conditions and requirements set out by the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofqall the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation that regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. The qualifications aim to give individuals the basic IT literacy needed to thrive in modern life.

What will the course involve?
The content of the qualifications is based on the National standards and covers 5 skill areas:
- Communicating
- Using devices and handling information
- Creating and editing
- Transacting
- Being safe and responsible online.
The qualification are apprpriate for adults aged 19+

Additional Costs
This course is FREE, however learners will undertake an initial assessment. If the assessment shows that you are eligible for the course, then it is fully funded. If you learners are assessed as too advanced for this course, then the adult Computing courses may be suitable.

Completion on the Essential Digital Skills Qualification will allow you to progress onto an UPSkill Course, Traineeship or Apprenticeship.
