The Certificate in IT User Skills aims to provide a nationally recognised standard in Information Technology that is accessible and flexible whilst being reliable, consistent and a valid IT benchmark. Learners may gain the 12 credits required to gain the Certificate by successfully completing the following 3 units: Word Processing Software (Word), Spreadsheet Software (Excel) and Presentation Software (Powerpoint), plus a further unit entitled Improving Productivity.
Word Processing Unit
Develop skills in Microsoft Word to create professional looking multi-page documents which integrate tables, images and graphs and use the mail-merge feature to produce standard letters and labels.

This course is suitable for those wishing to build on the Microsoft Office software skills gained at Level 1 or for those with equivalent experience who wish to progress to Level 2.
