Talented Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy students from Activate Learning, Brooklands Technical College, East Surrey College and Nescot recently showcased their exceptional skills at this year’s Surrey’s Got Talent competition, hosted by Brooklands Technical College.
Students competed across seven challenging categories, including Ballroom hairstyling, French manicure application, full body massage and TV/Movie-themed makeup. The event brought together some of the most promising learners from across SurreyFE, highlighting both creativity and technical expertise.
Judges from across the industry faced an incredibly difficult task in selecting winners, citing the sheer volume of talent on display throughout the competition. The high standard of work demonstrated across all categories reflects the dedication and commitment of both students and staff across the SurreyFE colleges. Kate Smith from VTCT, who judged the full-body massage competition, commented: “Phenomenal. Well done to everyone who competed, you made it exceptionally hard for us. Some of you looked like you’ve been in the business for years!”
