Our Pre-16 courses offer a range of exciting options for Year 11 students.

How to apply

1. If your child is currently on school roll, please discuss the course with the school before applying. The school will be responsible for submitting the application form.
2. Once we receive the application, we will liaise with the school prior to interview and a member of staff from the school will be invited to attend the interview with you and your child.
3. A member of our admissions team will contact you on receipt of the application. Students (and parents/guardians) will be invited to attend a tour of the college and an interview. These will be scheduled to take place from January onwards and will provide an opportunity to:
   
   – Find out more about the course and the college
   – Inform the college of any known behavioural or other needs
   
   This is to ensure that your child is placed on the correct course, can be kept safe and the right support is in place. A risk assessment will be drawn up if appropriate.
4. If your child has an EHCP, please ensure that a copy of the current EHCP is submitted by the caseworker to EHCP@brooklands.ac.uk. We will not be able to process the application until this has been received.

Courses are very popular so early application is recommended. For courses that are oversubscribed, we will maintain a waiting list and contact you should a place become available by the end of October 2025. We will not be able to admit students for this academic year after that date.
