External Work Placements Update: In light of the national lockdown and following updated guidance published on the 08/01/20, the college will minimise work placements, where it is not possible to complete the work placement from home, and follow the stay at home guidance. The college will continue to review this guidance and provide updates.
Industry Placements give our students the chance to put into practice what they have learned. Students will spend a minimum of 45 days working for an employer in a role directly relevant to their course.
Through this they will gain technical skills, be more ready for the world of work, and have connections in order to secure a job after their course.
My British Airways Work Experience
by Natassia Ive
During my work experience I visited British Airways Headquarters, The Training Centre and Terminal 5. I had a tour of the Heritage Museum where I got to see British Airways history of 100 years, and how the aviation and the uniform has changed since. In the training centre, I got to see all of the simulators where the pilots and cabin crew train. I also got to speak to a lot of people in British Airways about what they do within the company and how they meet customer needs.
