    The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is a qualification which prepares students for study at degree level.

    If you would like to go to university but left school without the qualifications you need, or you wish to change career direction then an Access to HE course could be the right route for you.

    Access to Higher Education - Health & Social Care Professions can be completed in one year, studied during the day or in the evening.

    What will the course involve?

    The Access Diploma offered at Brooklands College is the Level 3 Access Diploma in Health & Social Care Professions and this can be studied in the day time (Tues & Weds) or the evening (Tues & Weds)

    The course is suitable for those students who wish to progress to Adult Nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health Nursing, Children’s Nursing, Paramedicine and Physiotheraphy.

     

    Entry Requirements

    What qualifications will I need?

    English GCSE and Maths GCSE at C/4 or above is essential.

    Any work experience will be an advantage.

    Additional Costs


    Each student will receive a print allowance at the start of their course, should they require additional printing beyond this limit, they will be charged.

    •  If you are aged 19-23, your Access to HE course may be free. Please contact admissions@brooklands.ac.uk 

    •  If you are aged 24 or over, you may need to cover the cost of the course, but you can get a government loan for this called the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. If you then complete a Higher Education course, you won’t have to repay the loan for the Access course.
