Our carpentry and construction workshop offers a dynamic, hands-on environment designed to spark creativity and build practical skills. Each area is equipped with its own specialised tools and dedicated workspaces, allowing learners to experience authentic, real-world craftsmanship.
Our facilities support tactile learning and engage students in meaningful, project-based activities. Whether you’re shaping timber or assembling brick structures, our workshop spaces provide the ideal space to learn, create, and grow.
The course is for 16-19 year olds who have an interest in Carpentry and Joinery.
You will be assessed through in-course assessments, end of unit tests and practical tests.
All students must have their own protective overalls, toe-protective footwear, a text book and basic stationery. Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.
The minimum entry requirements for this course includes GCSE English or maths (grade 0-3), or a Level 1 Functional Skills. Those who do not achieve a grade 4 in English or maths will be required to study this alongside their course.
