About this course

This course is designed to give learners a general understanding of all things manufacturing.

You'll develop essential skills and knowledge in topics such as:

• Health and safety regulations in engineering operations and safe working practises
• Understand technical drawings and specifications
• Develop team work and interpersonal skills
• Learn manufacturing processes and analytical methods in engineering science
• Calculate volumes, surface area, power used and efficency
• Discover how to plan a production from start to finsh
• Understand computer aided manufacturing processes

This course is assessed through online asessments and practical work

What qualifications will I need?

The minimum entry requirements for this course includes GCSE English or maths (grade 0-3), or a Level 1 Functional Skills. Those who do not achieve a grade 4 in English or maths will be required to study this alongside their course.
