Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy

About this course

This Level 3 course studies all aspects of Advanced Beauty Therapy treatments including expanding your commercial skills to maximise employability. Students also organise external and internal events which also form part of the qualification. Your study programme will include developing study skills, personal development and GCSE English and Maths (if not already achieved at grade 4 or above).

You will be required to purchase kit, wear a uniform for your classes and present yourself in a professional manner.

Where will I be studying?

You will have wonderful work experience opportunities to prepare you for the world of work, and will learn in our fully-operational Brooks Salon.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in competitions and all students are expected to wear uniforms and present themselves in a professional manner.

What modules are covered?

You will study a range of beauty therapies including:

• body massage
• Indian head massage
• hot stone massage
• electrical facial treatments
• pre-blended aromatherapy.

Who is the course suitable for?

Any students moving on from NVQ level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or students with the equivalent qualifications in beauty therapy.

How is the course assessed?

Continuous assessment via practical assessments, coursework and online exams.

Are there any extra costs?

A uniform and beauty kit is strongly advised and this can be purchased from our recommended supplier (information will be given to you at interview).  Visits that include: professional exhibitions, an international visit and a chance to take part in competitions and suppliers product courses.  Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.

What qualifications will I need?

Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy with minimum achievement of Merit standard.
