    What is the course about?

    This course is a total of 18 units of study which is equivalent to 3 A Levels, with a 1 day a week work placement requirement.

    Level 3 Extended Diploma students have the opportunity to apply to become NHS cadets, whilst studying at Brooklands College.

    Our NHS Cadets benefit from a 1 day a week placement at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals.

    Who is the course suitable for?

    This course is designed for students who are intending to follow degree courses in social work, nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, radiography, paramedic or a health or social care related course of study.

    How is the course assessed?

    You will be assessed through projects and assignments completed during the course.

    Your tutor will advise you on any additional costs at the start of the course.

    Entry Requirements

    What qualifications will I need?

    5 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, including English, Maths and Science, or for progressing students successful achievement of a Merit grade in the Level 2 vocational qualification.


    Next Steps

    This course can lead to entry to Higher Education, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic and Social work degree courses as well as a range of professions supplementary to medicine, such as radiography and Occupational Therapy.

    Starting salaries in this field range from £13,000 to £21,000.
