This course is suitable for those with an interest in following a career in Media sectors such as Publishing, TV, Film, Radio or Music Industries.
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course on practical and written assignments. There will be some externally assessed units.
Students buy their own materials such as USB memory sticks and blank DVDs. The student pays for educational visits to London, TV studios etc. Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.
5 GCSEs including a minimum of 1 GCSE at grade 4. If you do not have a grade 4 in English and maths, you will be required to study for this alongside your course.
The Extended Diploma is equal to 3 A Levels and will enable you to apply for a degree at a university or other course in a related area. Some students go on to work independently in the industry.
