A Soundtrack for Success: Joel Foster Visits Brooklands 

We were thrilled to welcome singer-songwriter Joel Foster to Brooklands Technical College for a truly memorable afternoon of live music and inspiration. 

Joel, who originally qualified as an electrical engineer, made the bold decision to follow his passion and pursue a full-time career in music. His dedication and talent have already led to major success—he was signed by leading entertainment company AEG in January, a significant milestone in his journey. 

During his visit, Joel performed a range of his original songs along with some brilliant covers that had the whole room singing along. His energy, honesty, and musical talent made an incredible impact on everyone who attended. 

Beyond the music, Joel took time to speak directly to our students about the pressures young people face when planning their futures. He encouraged them to trust their instincts and pursue the paths that truly inspire them. As he put it: 
“No matter what you’re doing or who you’re surrounding yourself with, always be true to yourself.” 

Joel’s visit was not only entertaining but deeply motivating. His story and message resonated strongly with our students, all of whom are beginning to explore their own career journeys. 

This was also an exciting opportunity for our college community to see a rising star live, just before he sets off on his headline tour at the end of the year. We are incredibly grateful to Joel for sharing his time, music, and insight with us—it was an experience we won’t forget.
