Hair and Beauty students from Brooklands College demonstrated their skills at the College Hair & Beauty Competition last week.
The categories included Level 1 Hair and Beauty – Red Carpet look, Level 2 Hairdressing and Beauty – Eras , Level 3 Hairdressing – Avant Garde
The esteem panel of judges included; Samantha King, a Wella colour technician and specialist in hair extensions. Martin Humphries Roberts Hunt, owner of New Image Salon, a successful salon owner and has worked very closely with our hairdressing apprentices over the years. Alex Hardy a national educator for our product partner, Milkshake Hair UK.
Theresa Bullock an ex hairdressing lecturer at the college and Natasha Morgan ex Media make up Lecturer also returned to support the department and finally Emma Brockey, who after studying hairdressing at Brooklands will be starting as a sessional Lecturer later in the year.
They saw an amazing display of talent, culminating in the Level 3 Avant Garde section which included stunning hair creations. After a tense judging section, winners were announced: as follows:

Theme: Eras: – Jamie-Lee Billing
Level 3 Hair

A huge congratulations to all students who took part, it was so good to see students showcasing their talents after not being able to hold competitions during the pandemic.
