About
About this course
The Gym & Fitness Centres industry was worth £1.7 billion in 2022 and since COVID has grown by 25.2%. The growth in this industry is largely driven by the low-cost gym sector, so we were delighted to strike a partnership with PureGym West Byfleet. Brooklands sport & fitness students will have multiple experiences through the year with PureGym West Byfleet to enhance their knowledge and skills while also offering opportunities for students work experience and employment.
The Extended Diploma in Sport, Fitness & Personal Training is an exciting two-year course which explores the interests of sport, coaching, exercise, and health & fitness. The course is endorsed by CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport & Physical Activity) which means on successful completion of Year 1, students will be accredited with a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, and on successful completion of Year 2 students will be accredited with a Personal Training qualification. As well as direct access to employment, the course provides excellent preparation for a sport, exercise, or health & fitness related degree course.
