This course is inspired by the growing need for qualified Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors. Completion of the 2-year Extended Diploma results in students being fully qualified to work as Personal Trainers, as well as providing a solid platform for applying to university or the ideal first step into employment within the world of health and fitness.
The course is aimed at learners who are passionate about health and fitness, who want to understand how the human body works and how they can help people to improve their lifestyle and fitness levels.
This course is suitable for those who want a practical, hands-on and educational course. Completion of the 2-year course results in students being qualified to work as Personal Trainers, as well as providing a solid platform for applying to unversity or the first steps into employment in the world of health and fitness.
Modules are assessed individually through coursework and assignments that are set and marked by both internal and external moderators.
There is an initial contribution to be paid at the start of the course for materials and equipment. You would also be expected to make a contribution to take part in any opportunities that arose throughout the course such as trips and additional qualifications, (e.g. coaching badges). More details on costs will be provided during the application stages.
Students are allocated a certain amount of free printing, after which a small fee will be incurred.
5 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, ideally including English and Maths for progressing students successful achievement of a level 2 vocational qualification.
