About this course

The travel and tourism industry is a challenging and dynamic place to work, offering a variety of employment opportunities in sales, customer service, marketing and events. You could even decide to work overseas as a Holiday Rep, onboard a cruise ship or for your favourite airline as Cabin Crew.

During your first year at Brooklands as well as studying units such as Worldwide Destinations to develop your knowledge of travel and tourism you will gain hands-on experience hosting a travel exhibition, working as a Holiday Park Host during a residential trip and completing work experience with an employer of your choice.

The second year will further develop your knowledge by studying a wide range of units such as Specialist Tourism. You will also develop your interpersonal skills through mentoring others, running team building events, managing a travel exhibition, conducting guided tours and organising a charity event.
