Business students have been conducting practice interviews with their peers in order to develop their confidence and understand good interview techniques.
As part of their ‘Recruitment and Selection’ unit, students have been conducting practice interviews with their peers in order to understand good interview techniques within an organisation.
The students researched how companies recruit staff as well as the legislations that they must adhere to. They were also tasked to produce a set of documents for a specific job, including a CV and covering letter.
“The students were professional and took the interviews seriously and I am very proud of all the students that completed this assessment. I was able to give feedback and assess the students straight away and they have embraced this new way of learning and assessment.” Nicole Kemp, Business Lecturer
The knowledge and planning that was completed within this assignment culminated in using these transferrable skills and, for some, the first opportunity of being interviewed formally.
