It is an exciting time in Brooklands’ history and we are looking for three new Governors to join our Corporation Board.
Governors sit at the top of the decision-making tree within a college. They are responsible for setting college strategy, the stewardship of large amount of public funding, safeguarding college assets and – crucially – ensuring that the quality of the experience that we provide to our students is of the highest standard, and equips them with the qualifications that they need for their next stage in life.
We are looking for governors from all walks of life, and are committed to increasing the diversity of our Board. You must have a real commitment to and interest in further education.
We are particularly seeking to fill vacancies for the following positions:
· The Vice Chair of the Corporation, with experience of governance and human resources (especially in relation to the employment of senior staff).
· The Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee, with a qualification and expertise in accountancy.
We would also love to hear from you if you have links to the Surrey economic and business community, or are currently working in a management role within the Further Education and skills sector.
