Public Services

Public Services National Competition 2018

People who choose to work in the Uniformed Public Services, whether this be the Emergency Services or the Armed Forces, often choose to do so because they like variety and a challenge.  These jobs are not conventional desk jobs and staff working in them support each other in order to fulfil their roles successfullly.

All courses start with a 4 day ‘Bootcamp’ to ensure that both teamwork and discipline, particularly self-discipline are embedded into the course.  There are a variety of trips throughout the year in the UK and abroad, depending on the level you are studying.  Students are required to wear a uniform one day a week, on camp and on any trips.  They will learn drill and be inspected getting them ready for all of the Public Services.

You will also take part in various expeditions off campus and training exercises and trips which are great fun and help to develop your team work and communication skills.

Previous students have progressed to:
Royal Artillery
Met Police
RAF Firefighter
London Fire Brigade
Royal Logistic Corps
Royal Navy Warfare Specialist
Royal Marines
Royal Navy Sub Lieutenant
RAF Medic
Surrey Police
